New Members Information

Here are some great ways you can get involved at Howick Squash Club…

1. Club Night (Beginners / Low Grades) – Every Sunday 4pm to 5.30pm. Just turn up.
   Basic instructions/coaching/rules provided.
2. Club Night (Advanced) – Every Thursday 7pm to 9pm. Just turn up. For players that
   have played regularly for a year or more. Someone always rostered to co-ordinate
   games.
3. Whats App Groups. We have two Whats App groups (Beginners and Advanced per
   above). These advise what’s happening in the Club AND you can ask others for games
   easily. Eg “Looking for game tomorrow at 17:30 or 18:15. Reply if keen”. To join a
   Whats app group, email club.captain@howicksquash.co.nz with the group to join.
4. Interclub. Regular competitions around Auckland starting 7pm. Beginners are
   Mondays, Advanced are Tuesdays, and Masters (40+) are Wednesdays. Masters can
   also play in the Beginners or Advanced. Emails are sent advising when these are so
   ensure you Opt in to receive emails. Interclub is a great way to get regular games at
   your level, meet other players, be part of a team, and see other clubs.
5. Howick Squash Calendar. We often have tournaments, championships or other events
   per here… https://www.howicksquash.co.nz/club-calendar-2/ Again these are emailed
   out requesting signup so ensure you Opt in to receive emails.
6. Play a friend / other member. Of course you can simply play a friend (non members
   are visitors and pay slightly more than members), or another member. We encourage
   everyone to join www.mysquash.nz so that you can (a) record your results and (b) see
   how you compare to other players in the Club (and New Zealand!).
7. Talk to the Club Captain. We love helping players so email
   club.captain@howicksquash.co.nz if you have ANY questions about playing.
8. Coaching. Obviously this is a great way to improve your game. Details of our Club
